Job summary

OEG Energy Group in Den Helder, Netherlands, is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our offshore electrical systems team. You will collaborate with R&D and the Senior Technical Advisor to provide specialist technical support on Dive and ROV assets.

The role involves preparing project input, validating findings during execution, and producing technical documentation with CAD tools. A minimum of two years in a technical environment and fluency in Dutch and English are required.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a technical environment.
Excellent written and spoken command of Dutch and English.
Working knowledge of CAD software, including AutoCAD Electrical (preferred) and SolidWorks (desirable).
Good knowledge of relevant industry standards and applicable legislation.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and produce technical documents for new designs and projects.
Coordinate and support the integration of new designs into the workshop for production.
Provide technical support to the Assets, Projects and Commercial departments.
Support the R&D department in the development and integration of new technologies.
Produce CAD drawings in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software.
Review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Carry out fault finding and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
Analyse and diagnose recurring system faults and implement solutions.
Define minimum standards and equipment requirements for projects.
Work in accordance with health and safety, operational and QA procedures.
Keep up to date with developments in ROV and electrical/electronic engineering.
