Job summary

Impala Terminals Group in Rotterdam seeks a highly qualified Customs Compliance professional to join our terminal operations. The role focuses on customs compliance, auditing readiness, and guidance on origin processes, requiring fluency in Dutch and English and a strong regulatory mindset.

You will support the Customs Compliance Manager, drive improvements across processes and IT systems, and collaborate across functions to ensure adherence to AEO and regulatory standards while maintaining data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Customs or Supply Chain or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in customs and compliance.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated support to the Customs Compliance Manager: Act as SME for internal and external stakeholders on customs and trade compliance.
• Manage Terminal Customs & Affect.
• Identify improvement opportunities in processes, IT design and applications, data quality and internal control frameworks and translate into improvement proposals.
• Manage audit file requirements and development.
• Ensure full Customs compliance and adherence to AEO requirements and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Deliver guidance on preferential and non-preferential origin processes to internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with legislation changes and development, and translate into presentable materials in different formats.
• Develop and maintain procedures.
• Safeguard audit readiness by initiating and coordinating self-audit programs, internal controls, reporting results and follow up actions support on Customs audits.
• Support daily operations with Customs compliance expertise.
• Grow team capabilities with knowledge sharing, training and strengthen collaboration across functions and departments
