Job summary

Via Amsterdam is seeking a Room Attendant to join a young, energetic housekeeping team in a busy hotel with 200 rooms. You will clean dorms, twins and suites on a daytime shift from 9:00 to 17:00, ensuring efficient turnover and adherence to hygiene and safety guidelines.

The role emphasizes teamwork, punctuality, and a positive guest experience. We welcome applicants who are detail-oriented, capable of planning their work within guidelines, and willing to support colleagues.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail in cleaning duties.
• Ability to plan work within guidelines for efficient room cleaning.
• Willing to support teammates and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Available daytime and weekends with balanced schedule.
• Basic English helpful; Dutch not required.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of dorms, twins, and suites; stay-overs and check-outs.
• Follow safety, ARBO, hygiene and HACCP guidelines.
• Attend daily morning housekeeping meeting with the team.
• Perform periodic cleaning tasks (descaling, window cleaning, turning mattresses).

Room Attendant @ Via Amsterdam

Via Amsterdam is looking for Room Attendants to become part of our young and energetic team. With 200 rooms (with close to a 1000 beds, the majority in shared rooms) to clean almost every day, you are sure to join the most dynamic department in the hotel. A gym membership won't be needed anymore! ;) What is best about being part of the housekeeping team is... being part of the housekeeping team. As we all know, there is no I in team and this philosophy is imbedded in the housekeeping department. We start and finish the day TOGETHER!

A Workday Includes

• A daytime shift, from 9.00 - 17.00, so always home on time for dinner!
• Attendance to our daily morning meeting with the whole housekeeping team.
• Daily stay-over and check-out cleaning of the dorms, twins and suites.
• Periodical cleaning tasks such as descaling, window cleaning, turning of mattresses etc.
• Following guidelines with regards to safety, Arbo, hygiene and HACCP.

You’ll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:

• You work with attention to detail.
• You know how to plan your work within given guidelines; e.g. understand how to efficiently clean a room.
• You enjoy supporting other team members and you help wherever they need. Working independently is more than okay for you, but you also do not mind working together as a team.
• You are available daytime / weekends (but not all, we ensure a healthy balance).
• Basic English is helpful for the role, but not required. We can assist in growing your language skills. It is not necessary to speak Dutch.
