Job summary

Peaks, a Dutch fintech scale-up in Amsterdam, is seeking a Risk & Compliance Officer to join the team and help keep risk controls strong while enabling fast growth. You’ll work hands-on with policies, processes, and controls to embed compliant practices across the product.

You’ll collaborate with the Head of R&C and business teams, monitor regulatory developments, support audits, and ensure privacy compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of financial services risk & compliance experience.
• Knowledge of Wft, MiFID II, AML/KYC, EAA and GDPR.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented approach.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken.
• Certifications in risk/compliance are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform compliance monitoring and risk assessments.
• Support development and maintenance of policies, procedures and controls.
• Advise on the compliance of information provision.
• Assist with regulatory reporting and internal reviews.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate into practical actions.
• Contribute to audits and interactions with supervisors.
• Embed risk awareness into daily operations and product development.
• Safeguard privacy regulation compliance and handle privacy requests.
• Report observations to the Head of R&C.
