QuantWare is hiring an RF Design Engineer to drive microwave component design, high-density PCB layouts, and novel packaging for large-scale QPUs. You’ll work across chip, board, and package levels, integrating designs into automated workflows.

The role requires MSc/PhD in Electrical Engineering with RF/Microwave focus and 4+ years of RF experience in deep-tech or low-volume hardware, plus expertise in RF testing and 3D EM simulations.

Qualifications

• Education: MSc/PhD in Electrical Engineering with RF/Microwave focus.
• Experience: 4+ years hands-on RF engineering in deep-tech or low-volume hardware.
• Core RF: RF link budgets, S-parameters, impedance, Smith Chart, matching networks.
• 3D EM: Proficiency with full-wave solvers (HFSS, Q3D).
• RF characterisation: experience with RF testing and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Design electromechanical components for QPUs and validate models.
• Use CAD to design PCBs, chip layout, and interconnects.
• Address RF challenges at PCB and package levels (insertion loss, matching).
• Develop Python scripts to automate design generation and design-rule checks.
