Jobgether SRL is seeking a Software Engineer, Trust & Safety based in the Netherlands for a fully remote engineering team building reliable email infrastructure. You will design and develop anti-abuse systems to protect legitimate senders while preventing spam, phishing, and account compromise, with millisecond latency and cross-stack ownership.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
• Go experience or willingness to use it for latency-sensitive services.
• Infrastructure and reliability engineering with AWS, AWS CDK, Datadog.
• Experience with APIs, event-driven architectures, queues, and stateful services.
• Observability practices: metrics, logging, tracing, production monitoring.
• Ability to own projects from frontend to backend across the stack.
• Proven PostgreSQL and Redis experience.
• Preferred: trust and safety, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, or abuse detection.
• Preferred: real-time enforcement systems, rate limiting, CEL.
• Preferred: ML/LLM-based detection systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Build real-time enforcement systems with millisecond latency.
• Design scalable detection pipelines from signals to actions.
• Develop and update detection rules and enforcement policies.
• Detect account takeovers and leaked API keys and limit damage.
• Establish feedback mechanisms for enforcement decisions.
• Automate investigations, appeals, and bulk enforcement actions.
• Develop ML classifiers for spam and phishing detection.
• Implement safeguards to reduce false positives and ensure reliability.
• Maintain observability through logs, metrics, tracing, and error handling.
• Collaborate across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Take ownership from discovery to production deployment.
