Job summary

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Transmission Engineer to support live and VOD streaming orchestration across Disney+, ESPN, and Hulu. The role works remotely with a shift covering overnight US hours, coordinating with global ops to ensure service reliability.

You will manage EPG data, monitor health, document troubleshooting, and collaborate with senior staff to improve workflows, while adapting to a fast-paced media environment and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a technical/operational or digital media environment.
• Working knowledge of live/on-demand streaming products.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to operate independently with moderate guidance.
• Able to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follow operational procedures and raise workflow issues when they arise (50%).
• Execute defined processes to validate the quality and availability of live content streams (20%).
• Record steps to troubleshoot workflows when issues arise (15%).
• Field workflow requirements from senior staff and gather data to document workflows (15%).
• Possess intermediate workflow knowledge and operational experience.
• Manage EPG data for live channels, including extending listings data and updating catalog attributes on Disney+, ESPN, and Hulu + Live TV.
• Ensure content blackout compliance against contractual obligations and partner communications.
• Monitor front-end health via proprietary software for media orchestration.
• Collaborate with Senior Operators to develop troubleshooting protocols and escalate issues as needed.
