Job summary

KODE Health is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to build scalable healthcare software and AI-assisted features for coding and revenue cycle management. You will work on Rails-based backends, data models, and integrations from a modern, collaborative team.

This fully remote role can be done from anywhere in the United States, with mentoring for juniors and a focus on code quality, performance, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years building and maintaining production Ruby on Rails applications.
• Strong Ruby and Rails fundamentals, SQL, and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product managers to translate user needs into technical plans.
• Build and improve Ruby on Rails features and data models.
• Develop and test AI-enabled agents and integrations.
• Create consistent UI interfaces using a design system.
• Plan safe deployments and monitor post-release behavior.
