Job summary

Qdrant is a remote-first, open-source vector search engine empowering AI applications. We seek a Mid-Level Security Engineer to own hands-on security work within the Cloud Engineering team and to work with Security Officer to identify risks and drive remediation.

You will enable engineers with tooling and secure defaults across our stack. You will join a fast-growing org, contribute to ISMS efforts, and help scale security across AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in hands-on security engineering, product security, or vulnerability management.
• Ability to read and navigate unfamiliar codebases (Rust, Go, Python) to validate vulnerabilities.
• Experience triaging vulnerability reports or bug bounty programs.
• Practical knowledge of cloud and container security (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with GitHub security features and securing CI/CD pipelines.
• Clear written communication skills for external researchers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Run our public bug bounty program: triage reports, reproduce findings, communicate with researchers, drive remediation to closure.
• Investigate reported vulnerabilities at code level across Rust, Go, and Python tooling.
• Enable engineers to build secure systems by providing tooling, defaults, and documentation.
• Partner with engineering to design, review, and verify fixes; set security requirements where needed.
• Harden and maintain GitHub security posture, including secret scanning and code scanning.
