Job summary

Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe (HCME) is seeking a Maintenance and Equipment Engineer to keep factory equipment in top condition and to plan preventive maintenance. You will coordinate external suppliers and drive reliability improvements to minimise downtime and maximise performance.

You will lead equipment investments and evaluate new technologies, ensuring safety, quality, and strong operational results. The role offers remote work options and an attractive package based on experience.

Qualifications

• MBO level 4 in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Experience using Ultimo or comparable maintenance management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage equipment reliability and maintenance activities to maximise availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate external suppliers and service providers for maintenance and repairs.
• Lead equipment investment and replacement initiatives to align with safety and quality standards.

Education

MBO level 4 in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
