Job summary

Monks is seeking a hands-on Accounts professional to join our Finance team on a 6-month contract. The role focuses on day-to-day accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and revenue recognition, with close collaboration across the Finance team and other stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have 5-8 years in accounting or finance operations, strong accounting fundamentals, and experience with ERP systems and MS Excel/Google Sheets.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of accounting or finance operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of core accounting principles and financial statements.
• Hands-on experience with balance sheet reconciliations and revenue accounting.
• Experience with debits/credits, accruals, provisions and prepayments.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Prepare, maintain, and review balance sheet accounts and reconciliations.
• Support revenue calculations and recognition.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Assist with audit requirements by providing schedules and documentation.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve with the Finance team.
• Perform other day-to-day accounting activities as required.
