Synthomer plc is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Digital Centre of Excellence in a home-based role across the Netherlands, Belgium or the United Kingdom. You will turn data into business value by building predictive models and delivering analytics that impact manufacturing, commercial, and operations globally.

You’ll collaborate with global teams, explore data, and deploy ML models while promoting data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, or Machine Learning.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, predictive modelling, and machine learning techniques.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Databricks, and Apache Spark.
• Experience working with cloud-based analytics platforms.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex insights to business stakeholders.
• A curious mindset and passion for innovation and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Explore, prepare, and refine datasets for advanced analytics and machine learning.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
• Develop predictive and prescriptive models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Design feature engineering strategies to maximize model performance.
