Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a Netherlands-based company to hire a Data Engineer. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on AWS, including S3, Redshift, Glue, and Lambda, while supporting legacy systems.

Real-time processing with Kafka and Airflow will be key, along with data modeling and API integrations. You will collaborate with analytics teams to understand data requirements, improve data reliability and quality, and help modernize data architecture in a cloud-first

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency.
• Hands-on AWS experience (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda).
• Experience with Apache Airflow for workflows.
• Data warehousing concepts and modeling.
• Production-grade pipelines with reliability and monitoring.
• CI/CD and Git familiarity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Upper-intermediate English or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Develop and optimize data warehouse solutions and models.
• Build data infrastructure on AWS and support legacy systems.
• Create APIs and data integrations for data exchange.
• Develop real-time data pipelines with Apache Kafka.
• Automate data processes and improve operational tasks.
• Monitor and improve pipeline reliability, security, quality.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to meet data requirements.
• Maintain documentation of pipelines and infrastructure.
• Contribute to modernization of legacy data processes.
