Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is seeking a core Java backend developer to work on a high-performance monolith without Spring Boot, tackling real-time data processing for thousands of customers. The stack centers on Java 21, Netty, Jetty, and JPA, with PostgreSQL or MongoDB backends.

You will design, build, and maintain production-grade backend software, contribute to technical design and code reviews, and own features from implementation through to production while embracing the fully remote role within

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend Java development.
• Strong Core Java skills — comfortable without Spring Boot.
• Experience with concurrency and multithreading.
• Familiar with JUnit, Mockito, or similar testing frameworks.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB).

Responsibilities
