Understanding Recruitment is hiring Senior C++ Engineers to work on the core systems for a global proprietary trading firm. This backend role focuses on building and optimising low-latency infrastructure under real production load, near the trading side of the business.

You will develop high-performance market data and exchange connectivity services, improve throughput and resilience, and collaborate with engineering and trading teams.

Qualifications

• Proficient in modern C++ with backend/system focus.
• Experience building low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• Strong understanding of multithreading and concurrency.
• Comfort with Linux environments and tools.
• Proven ability to debug and optimise performance.
• Knowledge of networking and infrastructure-level concepts.
