Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
• Expertise operating Haas control systems (VF-2 or similar).
• Familiarity with hobbyist/desktop CNC platforms (Makera Carvera).
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and advanced measurement tools.
• Experience with metals and plastics.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines across multiple platforms, including desktop and industrial models.
• Load and verify CNC programs, install tooling, configure work-holding, and set work offsets for various projects.
• Run first-piece cycles, inspect machined parts against drawings, and adjust setups for dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and diagnose issues such as tool wear, chatter, or dimensional drift.
• Utilize precision measurement instruments to validate parts and ensure specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T callouts, and manufacturing documentation to guide part production.
• Collaborate and provide feedback to CAM programmers and stakeholders on setup optimization and manufacturability.
