Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Back End Developers in Amsterdam for designing, building, and optimizing server-side systems that power AI products. This is a fully remote, hourly contract role with 10–40 hours per week, offering flexible scheduling and meaningful project work.

You will work on data pipelines, model-serving infrastructure, and scalable microservices, collaborating with distributed teams across time zones to deliver robust backend solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience building back-end services and APIs for AI-related systems.
• Proficiency with one or more back-end languages (Python/Go/Java/Node.js/Rust).
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices.
• Experience with relational/NoSQL databases and cloud platforms.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust back-end services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Build scalable server-side architecture to support AI training and inference workloads.
• Write clean, well-documented, testable code following best practices.
• Integrate with databases, queues, cloud services, and third-party APIs.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability; collaborate asynchronously across teams.
