Job summary

Deloitte Netherlands is seeking a Consultant in Regulatory Risk & Compliance for the Financial Sector in Amsterdam. You will help financial institutions address regulatory challenges, focusing on operational risk, digital regulation, and consumer protection, while aligning risk and business goals.

You will work on innovative regulatory solutions, help clients develop new products and enter markets, and strengthen internal processes using data and technology.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in consulting, banking, a regulatory authority or FinTech.
• Strong interest in the financial sector, regulation, AI and/or organisational processes.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership in multidisciplinary projects.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies addressing new and existing regulations, focusing on operational risk and consumer protection.
• Help clients innovate their business models, develop new products and enter new markets.
• Address shortcomings in internal processes and systems related to regulatory requirements, using data and technology.
• Balance the intent of laws and regulations with the business strategies of our financial services clients.
• Improve risk management across organisations and programmes.
• Contribute to internal service offerings and committees within the Regulatory, Data & Reporting team.
