Job summary

Futures Works is seeking a Regional Financial Controller (RFC) to work with the Head of Finance for EMEA. You will manage internal accounting across multiple entities and support client accounting and ad hoc finance projects.

You will lead monthly to annual reporting, ensure accurate accounting entries, and supervise invoicing and payables, while collaborating with local tax advisors on filings and budgets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar financial services role.
• Experience across multi jurisdictions would be beneficial.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for group entities across EMEA.
• Oversee recording of accounting entries and reconciliations, including AR and intercompany balances.
• Prepare and maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
• Guide staff on client invoicing and accounts payable to ensure timely payments.
• Prepare VAT returns and assist with Corporate Income Tax filings.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and group audit processes.
• Prepare statutory reports for group entities.
• Support Head of Finance and regional stakeholders as needed.

Job description

Purpose of Role

The Regional Financial Controller RFC will work closely with the Head of Finance of EMEA but also with the other group finance roles. The RFC will be part of the finance team and will be responsible for all aspects of internal accounting activities, as well as assisting with client accounting services and other ad hoc finance projects as needed.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for a number of group entities located throughout EMEA
• Oversee the recording of all accounting entries, regular review of and follow-up on outstanding AR balances and performing monthly bank and intercompany reconciliations
• Prepare and maintain accurate reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts
• Overseeing and guiding accounting support staff on client invoicing, including annual and ad-hoc fees
• Overseeing and guiding accounting support staff on accounts payable entries and allocation to ensure expenses are accurately recorded and paid in line with vendors payment terms.
• Preparing and filing VAT returns
• Assisting and collaborating with local tax advisors for Corporate Income Tax Filings
• Implement and monitor policies and procedures for accounting and reporting
• Assisting with drafting of the annual budget
• Assisting with the annual (group) audit process
• Preparation of statutory reports of group entities
• Any other duties as needed to assist the regional Head of Finance from time to time

Required Advanced Technical Proficiencies:

• Key knowledge of the corporate services and fund services industry
• Proficient in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Teams and Powerpoint.
• Experience with TrustQuay/ NavOne/ Navision (Microsoft) would be a distinct advantage
• Experience working with a geographically dispersed team and cultures across multiple international regions

Base Requirement:
