Job summary

Trindent Consulting is expanding its European practice and seeks an Engagement Manager to lead refinery improvement projects across the EU. You will apply project management discipline from initiation to close-out on engagements typically ranging from $750K–$3MM and travel around 80% to client sites across EU.

Qualifications

• MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree, or a bachelor's degree (Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering) with refinery experience.
• 5+ years of refinery operations management experience.
• 5+ years of downstream experience managing workstreams in Gasoline Blending, Energy Intensity, Hydrocarbon Loss Control, Value Chain Optimization.
• 5+ years of experience with project management processes and methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in continuous process improvement.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint (Excel test is standard in assessment).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to adapt to varied working environments and motivate individuals at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review project proposals and plans to determine timeframe, staffing requirements and resource allocation, and collaborate with Project Leadership to mitigate risks.
• Outline work plans with project staff, assign responsibilities and workstream scope, and review status reports to adjust schedules.
• Deliver project status reports to management, clients and other stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain effective client engagement with the project team.
• Manage conflicts and ensure timely resolution of issues that could impact project success.
• Monitor milestones and ensure sustainable results are delivered on time, within budget.
• Mentor Operations professionals and support development plans.
• Contribute to internal improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with policies.
• Perform other responsibilities as necessary.
