Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a skilled Rack Team engineer to oversee server rack integration operations. You will develop plans, perform installations, and coordinate with engineering to ensure hardware is deployed according to specifications.

The role requires 5+ years in production/engineering, hands-on experience with enterprise server hardware, and willingness to travel internationally and locally to customer sites. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of production/engineering experience, preferably in server rack integration.
• In-depth knowledge of rack integration processes, hardware installation, and cabling.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, English proficiency; Dutch a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally and locally for installations.

Responsibilities

• Develop rack integration plans and related support documents.
• Perform physical installation, rack and stack, cabling and networking of data center hardware.
• Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to optimize productivity and efficiency.
• Assist/support in the implementation of server, storage and network equipment.
• Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure seamless integration of hardware solutions.
• Work with the engineering team to ensure hardware is installed correctly according to specifications.
• Be willing to travel (internationally and locally) to carry out installations at customers or solve problems in data centers.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, reduce waste, and increase overall operational efficiency.
• Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on production operations.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, reduce waste, and increase overall operational efficiency.


• Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on production operations.


• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, production management) or equivalent work experience preferred.


• 5+ years of proven experience in a production/Engineer role, preferably in server rack integration or related field is highly desirable.


• In-depth knowledge of server rack integration processes, hardware installation, and cabling.


• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills, you have an excellent command of the English language, Dutch would be a plus..


• Ability to work in a challenging, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. Must be solution-oriented, a team player with the ability to identify and elevate issues in a timely manner and be proactive in driving solutions.


• Hands-on experience with Enterprise grade server hardware.


• You live withing a radius of 40 km of ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
