Allseas R&D Eindhoven is seeking an MSc‑level R&D Engineer Welding to join the welding development team. You will bridge experimental welding research with production on our state‑of‑the‑art offshore fleet, translating advances into practical, robust solutions.

The role requires a MSc in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science, familiarity with offshore welding standards, and 0–4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
• Familiarity with welding standards relevant to offshore construction.
• IWE or equivalent certification is a plus.
• 0–4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical skills and a creative, resilient mindset.

Your role

As R&D Engineer Welding you will join our welding development team, where you will bridge the gap between experimental welding research and production facilities on our fleet of state‑of‑the‑art pipelay vessels. Together with a multidisciplinary team, you will translate the latest developments into practical solutions that can withstand the harsh offshore environment and meet the most stringent standards required by clients.

What we expect from you

• MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or similar;
• Familiarity with welding standards relevant to offshore construction;
• (Beneficial) IWE or equivalent certification;
• 0-4 years relevant experience;
• Strong analytical skills and technical insight;
• Creative and resilient mind‑set;
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
