JDE Peet’s invites you to join the R&D Coffee Academy in Utrecht as a Learning Experience Designer intern, starting Sept 2026. You will design and digitise learning modules with senior experts, translating complex coffee science into engaging, digital formats across global R&D teams.

You will build a concrete portfolio of learning modules and frameworks, gain exposure to AI-supported tools and modern digital platforms, and contribute to a global learning program within a leading coffee company.

Join us asa Learning Experience Designer intern within the R&D Coffee Academyteamat our international headquarters inUtrecht, starting inSeptember 2026.The R&D Coffee Academy is a key learning initiative aimed at strengthening technical knowledge, collaboration, andexpertiseacross the global R&D community. As part of the Academy, in‑depth expert modules are developed and delivered by senior subject matter experts across topics such as coffee processing, quality, safety, packaging, consumer science, and sustainability. As a Learning Experience Designer intern within the R&D Coffee Academy team, you will play an active role in translating expert knowledge into engaging, structured, and digital learning modules.

Your key activities will be:

Design and digitise expert modules

Work closely withsenior topic owners and subject matter experts to understand learningobjectives, key content, and target audiences in R&D.

• Decide together with topic owners what the learning experience should look like, for example:Online vs. blended vs.in‑person(Use of videos, self‑paced modules, workshops,or assignments)

Use existing materials (e.g.presentations, expert input, past training content) and convert them into updated digital modules using tools such as Easy Generator, PowerPoint,Canvaand M365 Copilot.

Review the expert modulesfrom an R&D skills perspective.

Identifyand clearly describe:Which skills and competencies each module develops (e.g.technical understanding, appliedproblem‑solving, scientific thinking, cross-functional collaboration).

Create a competence/skills framework per module that can be used across R&D.

Academic Program:You are enrolled in a MSc program for the entirety of the internshipwith the possibility to link your thesis to the internship and you have a strong interest in learning design, knowledge transfer, and capability building.

Skillset:You have experience creating a concrete portfolio including learning modules, frameworks, and learning journeydesign,Hands‑on experience with modern digital learning platforms and AI‑supported tool&Affinity with digital tools and content creation.

Personal traits:You are comfortable working with complex technical content and translating it into clear, engaging learning experiences. You are a confident communicator, able to interact with senior stakeholders and experts, you have a structured and analytical mindset and can work independently as well as collaboratively.

Commitment:You are ready to dedicate at least6months to this internship, preferably fromSeptember 2026toFebruary 2027.

Availability:You can join the internship for 5 days per week, includingfourdays in-office and one day remotely, ensuring an ideal balance between collaboration and independence.

You are either an EU(EEA) studentresidingin the Netherlands during the internship or a Non-EU(EEA) studentenrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
