Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Nijmegen, Netherlands, is seeking an experienced R&D IT Software Engineer/Developer to design, build, and deploy secure, scalable software for our HPC design infrastructure in Unix/Linux (RedHub) and AWS.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, participate in Agile/DevOps, contribute across the software development lifecycle, implement automation, CI/CD, and ensure performance, security, and reliability across 7 data centers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Software Development experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Perl, PHP, Python, C, and C++.
• Strong understanding of Software Design Patterns and OO design.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux (RedHub) environments and deployment.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
• Strong scripting and automation practices in Unix/Linux.
• Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript for web apps.
• Knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals is a plus.
• Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable software applications.
• Develop automation to improve deployment and reliability.
• Build, deploy, and support apps in Unix/Linux (RedHub) and AWS environments.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technology evaluations.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Integrate apps with databases, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Maintain technical documentation and support guides.
• Engage with users to continuously improve delivered solutions.
