You will perform optical and microwave measurements, automate measurement pipelines, and manage databases to track device trends, collaborating with fabrication, design and simulation scientists.

Qualifications

  • PhD or 4+ years industry experience in electrical engineering, computer science, photonics, optics or related field.
  • Proficiency with Python for scientific use and data analysis.
  • Experience with automation in optical or positioning setups and database management.

Responsibilities

  • Optical and microwave measurements of microwave-to-optics transducers.
  • Automating the measurement and analysis process.
  • Database construction and management for tracking trends in devices.
  • Determining the properties of devices and the impact of R&D developments.
  • Feeding back on results and suggesting changes for future devices.
  • Working in collaboration with fabrication, design and simulation scientists.
