Job summary

TDelft University of Technology (TU Delft) seeks a Community & Events Coordinator for Delft to plan and deliver quantum ecosystem events, engage with visitors and partners, and strengthen the Delft quantum community. The role is a six-month temporary contract under FlexDelft, with a 0.9–1.0 FTE arrangement and options for 32h or 38h weekly.

You will lead monthly events, coordinate with QuTech and other partners, supervise 1–2 student assistants, and support a flagship event on 27 October,

Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating events, community programs, office operations, or stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and follow through on commitments.
  • Comfortable working with a broad range of stakeholders, visitors, partners, and community members.
  • Proactive, dependable, and able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for quantum ecosystem events and visiting delegations to TU Delft, QuTech, QDNL Delft.
  • Coordinate QDNL Delft's involvement in events, including scheduling hosts, arranging catering, and organizing company pitches.
  • Manage and supervise 1-2 student assistants.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to promote events and community activities.
  • Represent QDNL Delft in House of Quantum team meetings and align activities with community initiatives.
  • Lead the organization and delivery of monthly community events.
  • Support the planning and execution of the annual flagship event on 27 October.
  • Contribute to fostering an active, connected quantum community in Delft.
