Job summary

Nearfield Instruments in Rotterdam is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure semiconductor machines meet the highest quality standards. You will perform final acceptance testing (FAT), calibrate AFM systems, validate performance, and work with engineering and production to guarantee reliable shipments.

The role emphasizes collaboration, precise testing, and documentation, with a focus on continuous improvement within a rapidly growing scale-up environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Good command of English.
• Technical background in mechanical, electrical or software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform FAT and functional assessments.

Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed quality checks, including final acceptance tests (FAT) and functional assessments.

Conduct calibration and testing of key components, including ovens and systems requiring atomic force microscopes (AFM).

Validate machine performance, ensuring all systems meet client specifications.

Inspect and document results for all quality tests and identify areas for improvement.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to uphold quality standards.

Ensure machines are ready for shipment with the highest level of reliability and performance.
