Job summary

A pioneering semiconductor company in Delft is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to establish quality processes as it enters volume production. The role involves working closely with foundries and internal teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. Candidates should have a relevant degree, 5–8+ years of semiconductor quality experience, and skills in structured problem-solving. Job Description

The Quality Assurance Engineer will play a key role in establishing and executing quality processes as the company enters volume production. This role interfaces closely with foundry partners, assembly and test houses, and internal teams to ensure product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction from NPI through high‑volume manufacturing.

Product & Manufacturing Quality
  • Own quality assurance activities from NPI to production ramp‑up and HVM
  • Define and maintain product quality plans, control plans, and acceptance criteria
  • Support silicon qualification, characterization, and production release
  • Monitor and analyse yield, test data, and field returns, driving corrective actions
Supplier & Partner Quality
  • Manage quality interfaces with foundries, assembly and test partners, etc.
  • Review and approve process changes, PCNs, and deviation requests
  • Lead supplier audits and quality reviews
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5‑Why, Fishbone)
Reliability & Compliance
  • Support and review reliability qualification (e.g., JEDEC)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards such as ISO 9001.
  • Contribute to customer quality requirements, audits, and escalations
Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement
  • Help scale the company’s Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Define KPIs and dashboards for production and supplier quality
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain
  • Support customer documentation (PPAP elements, quality reports, RMAs)
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of experience in semiconductor quality
  • Hands‑on experience with production ramp‑up and volume manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, assembly & test flows
  • Yield analysis and failure analysis
  • Reliability qualification methodologies
  • Experience working with external manufacturing partners
  • Structured problem‑solving skills (8D, Root Cause Analysis)
  • Fluent in English
Desirable
  • Experience with GNSS, RF, or mixed‑signal ICs
  • Industrial or Automotive semiconductor background
  • Familiarity with PPAP, JEDEC standards
  • Experience setting up quality processes in a scaling or start‑up environment
  • Data analysis skills (Python, JMP, SQL, or similar)
