Job summary

Nearfield Instruments invites a quality engineer to join the Production Engineering team, collaborating closely with D&E, System Engineering and SCM to improve production and cycle time (CT). You will monitor supplier parts quality, perform root cause analyses, and drive corrective actions to ensure conformance to specifications.

Where will you be working?

You will be working within Production Engineering team in close collaboration with D&E and System Engineering and SCM with end goal to improve the production and CT.

What will you be doing?
  • Monitor and improve the quality of incoming parts and assemblies from suppliers.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in quality engineering or supplier quality roles within a high‑tech or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies (e.g. 8D, DMAIC).
  • Familiarity with quality standards and supplier auditing practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to drive quality improvements.
