Job summary

ALLNEX seeks a Quality Manager for its Bergen op Zoom production site. You will own the Quality Management scope, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with relevant ISO standards in a global coatings production environment.

You will manage quality control, customer complaints, and data-driven improvements while collaborating with maintenance, operations, and supply chain teams to sustain high product quality and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field such as Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in chemical industry or similar quality systems.
• Strong data-driven decision making and analytical skills.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Own the full scope of Quality Management in the Bergen op Zoom production plant.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 50001, and support ISO 14001 and 45001.
• Drive continuous improvement in product quality control and processes.
• Lead handling of customer quality complaints with containment, corrective and preventive actions.
• Communicate progress and investigations to customers and internal teams.
• Oversee product release and QC systems, including equipment and spare parts.
• Analyze KPI data to monitor performance and drive manufacturing improvements.
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, and visiting customers/suppliers to promote quality.

As Quality Manager, you are responsible for the full scope of Quality Management process in our production plant in Bergen op Zoom. You will be accountable for quality assurance, product quality control, promoting ongoing improvement and maintaining the working processes according to internal and external quality guidelines.
You report to the site manager with 3 direct and 12 indirect reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and improving the Site Management processes. Ensuring compliance to ISO standards 9001 and 50001. Together with SHE ensuring compliance to ISO 14001 and 45001.
• Improving and maintain Quality Management procedures. This includes ensuring a quality culture and monitoring and improving adherence to site procedures.
• Improve and maintain continuous improvement processes in product quality control also using statistical process control and quality control tools (such as SPC/SQC, Process Reviews, and Value Stream Mapping) and drive improvement and employee involvement in quality management.
• Responsible for professional follow up quality complaints from customers, including implementing containment, corrective and preventive actions.
• Professional communication to the customers on the progress and completion of complaint investigations.
• Oversee product release and support to continuously improve QC processes and systems, including working processes, equipment, spare parts.
• Collect and analyze performance data against defined parameters to monitor and report quality key performance indicators (KPIs), and utilize data analysis to further improve manufacturing processes.
• Promote quality achievement and performance improvement through active communication and collaboration with other functions, including sales and procurement teams, as well as visiting customers and suppliers

Required skills and experience

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Biochemical Engineering, or a technical field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the chemical industry or industries with equivalent quality systems.
• Structured thinking, with an aptitude for analysis and decision-making based on facts and data.
• Good knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, SPC, TPM, and LEAN.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and take a hands-on approach.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
