Job summary

Spilberg is seeking a Quality Lead / Quality Architect to shape the quality engineering strategy across a large organisation. You will define architecture, governance and standards, and drive measurable improvements in software quality.

Working across Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, Product and Security, you will translate a quality vision into practical, reusable solutions and governance that enable teams to ship high-quality software at scale.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Architecture, or QA/Engineering leadership.
• Proven ability to define quality strategies, governance and roadmaps in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong technical foundation in test automation, CI/CD and modern testing practices.
• Knowledge of performance engineering, observability, reliability, API testing and contract testing.
• Ability to translate strategic decisions into practical approaches for engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and coaching skills to drive organizational change.

Responsibilities

• Develop an enterprise Quality Engineering strategy and improvement roadmap.
• Define test architecture, quality standards and quality gates.
• Strengthen test automation and embed quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide direction on API, contract and integration testing.
• Embed performance, scalability and reliability considerations early in design and development.
• Improve quality reporting, traceability and visibility of risks.

• Explore opportunities to apply AI and GenAI within Quality Engineering.

Would you like to shape software quality across a large, complex organisation? As Quality Lead / Quality Architect, you define the quality engineering strategy, architecture and governance that help engineering teams continuously improve software quality.

Working across teams and technology stacks, you connect Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, Product and Security. You translate your quality vision into practical standards, reusable solutions and measurable outcomes.

Enterprise environment | 36-40 hours per week

What will you do?

• Develop an enterprise Quality Engineering strategy and improvement roadmap.
• Define test architecture, quality standards and quality gates.
• Strengthen test automation and embed quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide direction on API, contract and integration testing.

What do you bring?

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in Quality Engineering, Test Architecture, QA Leadership or Engineering Leadership.
• Experience defining quality strategies, test architectures or governance within complex enterprise environments.
• A strong technical foundation in test automation, CI/CD and modern testing practices.
• Knowledge of performance engineering, observability, reliability, API testing and contract testing.
• The ability to translate strategic decisions into practical approaches for engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience coaching teams and driving organisational change.

Experience with tools such as JMeter, Grafana, LoadRunner, OpenTelemetry, PactFlow, KONG or Azure Test Plans is an advantage.
