Job summary

Trespa is seeking a Quality Engineer to apply statistics and practical investigations to resolve quality issues on the shop floor. You will guide cross-functional teams, design and run analyses, and drive evidence-based improvements across production.

This role reports to Engineering and involves collaboration with R&D and suppliers on quality specifications and processes. You will monitor quality performance, assess CoAs, and lead improvement projects to sustain measurable product quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (HBO) or university degree in a technical/engineering/scientific field.
• Strong knowledge of applied statistics (SPC, capability analysis, regression, DOE).
• Experience with root cause analysis and data-driven problem solving in manufacturing.
• Ability to translate analyses into practical recommendations and measurable results.
• Strong communication skills and ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
• Dutch and English proficiency.
• Experience with Python for data analysis and automation is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to Italy about once per month.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analytical approach to complex quality investigations and root cause analyses.
• Use advanced statistical methods to identify, substantiate and verify causes of quality deviations.
• Monitor quality performance, identify trends and translate findings into structural improvements.
• Assess supplier Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) and develop systematic monitoring of raw material quality.
• Establish consistent inspection methods, assessment criteria and quality standards across production processes.
• Work with R&D and other stakeholders to evaluate specifications and support evidence-based improvements.
• Support the development and validation of automated defect detection and quality control methods.
• Align quality expectations and assessment practices across relevant Broadview companies.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Engineering to implement and sustain improvements.
