Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd. is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to manage all quality aspects in a Barendrecht-based FMCG packing operation.

The role focuses on ensuring products are packed to customer specifications and quality standards are applied throughout inbound, production and dispatch processes. The successful candidate will monitor quality in production, coordinate with Commercial and Logistics teams, and support third-party facilities to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control for FMCG packaging (packhouse/production).
• Knowledge of product regulations and quality systems.
• Driving licence B required.
• Knowledge of Exotics, Soft fruit, Melons, and Citrus is an advantage
• Driver's license B

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet customer specs via quality checks and audits.
• Accurately completing inbound checks/documentation on intake of product.
• Maintain quality monitoring in production and record information in the system.
• Communicate quality issues to commercial team and manage non-conformities.
• Oversee pallet release and stock allocation to customer specs; support temperature checks and calibration.
• Train third-party packing facilities on quality standards.
• Prepare and send quality control reports to growers; implement corrective actions for defects.
• Monitor stock and report fruit condition to Sales and Logistics; ensure food safety policies are followed.
• Write, Study and send Quality Control of reports to growers
• Follow-up evolution of defect in weekly base for each grower and ensure implementation of corrective actions
• Daily check of stock and communicate fruit condition to Sales and Logistics Department
• All Pallets to be positive released from prior to despatch
• Respect the food safety policy and procedures defined by management and Technical Department
• Listening to customers, and ensuring that all their requirements are met
• Report any non-compliance with customers or others to technical department

Purpose of the Role

• To manage all aspects of quality within the Business competently and cost effectively.Ensuring all products is packed to customer specifications and the correct quality standards are applied.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Ensure that all products are packed and handled to meet customer specifications quality check and audit products.
• Accurately assessing and completing Inbound checks / documentation on intake of product.
• Maintain quality monitoring in production area, ensuring that information is recorded in KBS accurately.
• Communicate issues on quality – take out in excess of expectation, unexpected issues, replacement stock to commercial team.
• Monitoring of Class 2 and waste pullouts across packhouse, reallocation of stock to customer specs
• All pallets to be positive released from Production and Warehouse.
• To assist with temperature checks and calibration.
• To support training and coaching third party packing facilities with quality standards to meet customer specifications.
• Write, Study and send Quality Control of reports to growers
• Follow-up evolution of defect in weekly base for each grower and ensure implementation of corrective actions
• Daily check of stock and communicate fruit condition to Sales and Logistics Department
