QHSE Specialist
Reporting To: QHSE & Lean Manager
Work Schedule: Onsite – Amsterdam, NL
Overview

In this role you will be the central point for all quality, safety, health and environment (QHSE) matters, working closely with employees, supervisors and experts to ensure local compliance with Moog Global EHS Policy, regulations and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Act as the on‑site point of contact for all EHS matters and the process side of Moog’s quality management system.
- Translate regulations, global policies and quality requirements into local policy, clear work instructions and procedures.
- Develop and implement EHS programs and strengthen the safety culture within the organization.
- Lead the implementation of the Risk & Incident (RI&E) plan, deliver EHS introductions, trainings and toolbox‑sessions.
- Analyze and assess existing quality processes and procedures, identify improvement opportunities, and support proactive documentation management.
- Initiate and coordinate EHS and quality audits and analyses.
- Investigate observations, incidents and near‑misses, conduct root‑cause analysis and identify preventive and corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with quality requirements and standards (e.g., ISO9001) and raise awareness of quality processes.
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the organization’s environmental impact and collect ESG data for reporting.
- Conduct regular EHS risk analyses, develop action plans and manage internal approvals for chemical usage and safety data sheets.
- Organize and deliver internal training and toolbox‑sessions, and contribute to continuous improvement of the facility, especially in relation to EHS.
- Advise, write and implement EHS and facility policies to achieve objectives and meet legal and corporate regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science, engineering or related field.
- Completed vocational training such as Middelbare Veiligheidskunde (MVK) or Hogere Veiligheidskunde (HVK), or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3years of QHSE experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
- Current knowledge of EHS regulations and industry standards.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, collaborative problem‑solving approach.
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
