Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc in Amsterdam is seeking a Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health Specialist (QESH) to support a new site opening. You will develop and maintain the QESH management system, drive compliance with ISO standards, and lead audits and training.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with strong analytical skills.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Health, Safety and Environmental management within a complex organisation.
• Knowledge of QESH management systems and ISO standards; relevant certifications or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the QESH management system, ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation and company policies.
• Coordinate audits, inspections, corrective actions and compliance assessments across warehouse operations, equipment, processes and contractors.
• Conduct risk assessments, support incident investigations and identify robust corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor QESH performance data and provide practical recommendations to management and teams.
• Deliver QESH briefings, toolbox talks, training sessions and awareness campaigns.
• Support internal and external audits including ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and customer audits.
• Champion sustainability initiatives to reduce waste, energy, water usage and emissions.
• Support emergency preparedness, business continuity planning, and incident response processes.
