Job description

Are you driven to safeguard top-tier hardware integrity and scale quality frameworks in the world of quantum computing?

At Qblox, we’re accelerating the worldwide race to build scalable quantum computers, providing the world’s best quantum control stacks. We’re not just building hardware; we’re building the future.

Where you come in:

As our QA/QC Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind safeguarding the hardware integrity and operational reliability of our high-end quantum control systems. As Qblox scales from a pioneering R&D powerhouse into a globally operating hardware leader, you will lead the quality organization to ensure both internal operations and external manufacturing partners (EMS/ODM) uphold our stringent performance standards.

This role offers a unique balance: you will dive into "hands-on" technical troubleshooting for complex repairs while architecting the high-level quality frameworks that allow our processes to scale worldwide. You’ll be based at our headquarters in Delft, working closely with cross-functional teams across the business.

What you’ll do:
  • Champion Operational Quality: Direct the end-to-end quality lifecycle—from incoming material inspection to repair/RMA management ensuring high hardware reliability and throughput.

  • Optimize Turnaround & Yield: Drive initiatives to reduce repair and rework turnaround times in the workshop, and implement systemic Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate defects and boost manufacturing yield.

  • Architect Quality Systems: Define, implement, and enforce robust SOPs, ISO standards, and quality frameworks embedded across all R&D and manufacturing workflows.

  • Bridge Design & Production: Lead internal auditing, standardize processes, and manage documentation integrity to ensure a seamless bridge between product design and production execution.

  • Lead Partner Quality & NPI: Define quality requirements and audit global production partners (EMS/ODM). Partner with R&D during New Product Introduction (NPI) to embed Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA) principles early.

  • Build for Scale: Develop the strategic quality blueprints that support Qblox’s international expansion.

Why you’ll love it:
  • Ignite Your Drive: You’ll be working in the most exciting deep-tech frontier right now—quantum computing.

  • Drive the Future: You will directly shape the quality and reliability standards for the hardware unlocking unprecedented quantum power.

  • Collaborate with Brilliance: Work alongside some of the smartest, most innovative engineers, scientists, and operational minds on the planet.

  • Make a Measurable Impact: You’ll have full ownership to build, mature, and scale a world-class quality function from the ground up

Enough about us, what about you?

In order to really enjoy and succeed in this role, we imagine that your background will include the following:

To truly excel and lead the charge in this role, we envision you’ll have the following skills and experience:

The Non-Negotiables:
  • Quality Leadership: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-tech, hardware, or deep-tech environments, with a proven track record of managing and mentoring quality teams.

  • Deep Technical Proficiency: Strong background in electrical engineering (EE), PCB assembly, and production environments, with the confidence to navigate schematics as well as modern test equipment.

  • Standards & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of ISO standards, internal auditing, and architecting enterprise-grade quality management systems.

  • Partner & Scale Experience: Demonstrated success in developing quality frameworks and auditing external manufacturing partners (EMS/ODM).

  • Hands-on & Strategic Balance: A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset that moves comfortably between shop-floor troubleshooting and executive-level strategic planning.

  • Fluent English: Impeccable verbal and written communication skills to collaborate and align cross-functional teams (R&D, Operations, Product, Management).

Other things that will help you really enjoy the role:
  • Experience in a rapid-growth scale-up or transitioning R&D prototypes into high-volume production.

  • A natural curiosity about deep-tech and quantum technologies!
