Job summary

Response Informatics Limited. seeks a senior IT professional in The Hague for a contract onsite role. You will design and implement data processing pipelines, optimize SQL Server databases, and build robust ETL processes.

Your work will involve Power BI reporting, data modelling, and securing data access with modern authentication methods. The role requires 5+ years in software development, strong SQL Server and Power BI skills, Python proficiency, and experience with Docker.

Qualifications

• University Degree in IT, combined with extensive IT experience.
• Software development, databases, and small-scale system design knowledge required.
• At least 5 years in software development and 5+ years with SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, schema design).
• Proficiency with Python and web frameworks, data manipulation and automation.
• VBA applications and scripting for automation and data import/export are needed.
• Strong full stack solution design, documentation and development skills.
• Power BI expertise for data modelling, DAX, dashboards and reporting.
• ETL and data-prep tools including SSIS, Power Query, and Neo4j ETL utilities.
• Git version control, CI/CD practices and Azure DevOps familiarity.
• Experience with Linux, containerisation (Docker) and optional Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of .NET (C#), ASP.NET Core is a plus.
• Elasticsearch for indexing and querying complex datasets.
• Excellent English language skills.

Type: Contract (Onsite)

Job Description:

• University Degree in IT, combined with 7 years of relevant IT professional experience;
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, with practical knowledge in software development, databases, and small-scale system design. A solid foundation in software and database development is required to support data pre-processing and automation of business activities;
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development;
• At least 5 years of professional experience with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, schema design, stored procedures, performance tuning);
• Proficiency with Python and frameworks for web development, data manipulation and automation;
• Proficiency with VBA applications (Excel, Access) including VBA scripting for developing automation scripts, data import/export utilities, and pre-processing tools;
• Good knowledge of the design, documentation and development of full stack solutions;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI (data modelling, DAX, dashboards, reporting) for providing advanced visualization and reporting capabilities to support operational analysis;
• Proficiency in ETL processes and data-preparation technologies, including tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Power Query and Neo4j data-import or ETL utilities;
• Good working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git);
• Good working knowledge of relational database development, with a focus on Microsoft SQL Server, including data modelling, schema design, T-SQL, stored procedures, functions and query optimisation;
• Good working knowledge of application security, authentication, and authorisation concepts, including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect;
• Good knowledge of agile software development methodologies with practical experience using Azure DevOps for backlog management, planning, source control, CI/CD pipelines and work tracking;
• Good knowledge and display of prerequisites of working in a flexible environment including participation in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication, exposure to an international/multi-cultural environment, etc;
• Good knowledge of preparing and maintaining technical documentation for developed solutions;
• Good working knowledge of containerisation using Docker. Familiarity with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes is an advantage;
• Knowledge of Microsoft .NET (C#) and ASP.NET Core will be an asset;
• Good knowledge of using Linux shell and basic Linux concepts (e.g., users, groups, rights) will be an asset;
• Good knowledge of Elasticsearch for indexing and querying complex, large or unstructured datasets;
• Excellent command of the English language.
