Intercel in the Netherlands is seeking an Operational Purchaser to advance your procurement career within an international trading environment. You will manage the full operational procurement process and ensure product availability for customers, collaborating with colleagues across Sales, Warehouse and Supply Chain.

This mid-level role offers opportunities to grow towards more tactical or strategic procurement, with offices in Haarlem or Ede and a full-time 5-day week, 35-40 hours.

Competenze

• HBO/MBO+ level education focused on Nevi, Supply Chain or Purchasing.
• At least 2 years’ work experience in a procurement role within a commercial environment.
• Dutch and English language proficiency.

As an Operational Purchaser at Intercel, you’ll have the opportunity to build on your procurement experience within a dynamic and technically oriented organisation. You’ll work closely with experienced colleagues and be given plenty of scope to take on responsibility and develop your skills. In this role, you’ll be involved in the entire operational procurement process and play a key role in ensuring the availability of products for our customers.

Intercel operates internationally and collaborates with suppliers and partners all over the world. You will be working in an international trading environment and will gain insight into supply chain, logistics and supplier management. In addition, we offer you the opportunity to progress towards a more tactical or strategic procurement role. As the central link between suppliers and internal departments, you know how to effectively connect people, processes and information. You enjoy working collaboratively, bring structure to tasks and contribute to optimal cooperation within and between teams.

A selection of your responsibilities:

• You ensure that purchase orders are processed and followed up.


• You keep suppliers on their toes and proactively monitor delivery times.


• You liaise daily with colleagues in Sales, the Warehouse and Supply Chain.


• You coordinate transport and support international logistics processes.


• You maintain relationships with suppliers around the world.


• You identify opportunities for improvement and help make processes smarter and more efficient.


• You contribute to optimal stock management and reliable deliveries.

With your analyses, data-driven approach and insights drawn from procurement, stock and supplier data, you will help the department to continuously move forward and make a significant contribution to the further professionalisation of our processes and decision-making. This role is ideal for a mid-level procurement specialist who is ready for the next step in their career and wishes to develop further within an international trading organisation.

• A full-time role working 5 days a week; a 4- or 4.5-day working week is also possible


• A salary of between €3,500 and €4,500 gross per month based on full-time employment, depending on knowledge and experience

Who are you?

• HBO (MBO+) level of working and thinking (specialising in Nevi, Supply Chain or Purchasing)


• At least 2 years’ work experience in a procurement role within a commercial environment


• Good command of Dutch and English


• You are able to tackle procurement issues independently and think proactively about optimising processes, stock management and supplier collaboration


• You work in a structured manner, maintain an overview and know how to set priorities in a dynamic environment


• You are a strong communicator with colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders and can easily liaise across different departments.
