Job summary

YER is supporting an international aerospace and technology organisation in Leiden with a 1-year assignment as Project Manager. You will drive Research & Technology projects focused on the future and decarbonisation of aviation.

You bring 2–5 years of relevant PM experience and will manage budgets, contracts, KPIs and reporting while coordinating with engineers, project leaders, finance, legal, universities and industry partners. Travel is about 10% and there’s a potential to stay permanently.

1-year assignment with the possibility of permanent employment

For an international organisation within aerospace & technology, we are looking for a Project Manager with 2–5 years of experience.

You’ll work on Research & Technology projects focused on the future and decarbonisation of aviation.

Your role is straightforward: making sure innovative technical projects actually move forward.

You’ll work closely with engineers, Project Leaders, Finance and Legal, as well as universities, research institutes, industry partners and governmental organisations.

What are we looking for?

You have 2 to max. 5 years of relevant Project Management experience and want to take the next step within a technical environment.

You bring:

• Experience managing budgets & contracts
• Enough technical understanding to work with engineers
• Excellent command of English

Experience within aerospace, high-tech, innovation or energy transition is a strong plus.

Experience with publicly funded projects, SAP, Lean, Agile/Scrum, PMP or IPMA? Even better.

A bit more about the role

This isn’t a Project Manager position where you only monitor timelines.

Many of the projects involve local or European funding, multiple external partners and formal contractual deliverables. You’ll help connect the technical work with budgets, contracts, reporting and stakeholder expectations.

You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to proposals for new R&T projects and help improve project management processes and governance.

Travel is limited to approximately 10%.

After the initial one-year assignment, there is the possibility of joining the organisation permanently.
