Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the Netherlands is seeking a Project Manager for Smallworks, MAC and Space Planning to coordinate workplace transformations for a leading corporate client. This hands-on role covers minor refurbishments through to large relocations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

You will liaise with client teams, supply chain partners and internal teams; manage risk, scope changes and stakeholder expectations; and contribute to the growth of the MAC

Qualifications

• Experience with MAC processes and space planning is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate minor refurbishment works, interior alterations and technical fit-out projects within corporate offices.
• Manage scope, programme, budget and quality for smallworks assignments.
• Oversee contractors, suppliers and on-site delivery with focus on QHSE and regulations.
• End-to-end management of MAC moves, adds and changes including space planning and decommissioning.
• Serve as primary client-facing contact from initiation to handover and post-project follow-up.
• Prepare quotations, scopes of work and variations; identify opportunities for additional scope.

Education

HBO/WO degree in PM/Real Estate/Facility Management

The Role

As Project Manager Smallworks, MAC & Space Planning, you will be the central point of coordination for workplace transformations for a leading corporate client. This is a hands‑on role. You will manage a varied project portfolio — from minor office alterations and interior fit‑outs (smallworks) through to large‑scale relocations, reconfigurations and decommissioning projects (MAC: Moves, Adds & Changes). You will ensure every project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and in alignment with our sustainability commitments.

Working closely with the client team, supply chain partners and internal teams, you will act as the primary contact for all move and smallworks‑related matters, whilst actively contributing to the growth of our MAC service line with a client across the Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management – Smallworks

• Lead and coordinate minor refurbishment works, interior alterations and technical fit‑out projects within corporate office environments.
• Manage scope, programme, budget and quality standards for all smallworks assignments.
• Manage and provide contractual oversight of contractors, installers and specialist suppliers.
• Supervise on‑site delivery, ensuring full compliance with QHSE standards and building regulations.
• Proactively identify and manage risks, scope changes and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Management – MAC (Moves, Adds & Changes)

• Manage MAC projects end‑to‑end: corporate relocations, workplace reconfigurations including spaceplanning and decommissioning.
• Serve as the primary client‑facing contact throughout the full project cycle — from initiation to handover and post‑project follow‑up.
• Plan and execute move projects in accordance with the MAC Playbook and project toolbox, including move matrix, RACI and stakeholder register.
• Manage FF&E inventories and apply the Circular Economy Policy (reuse, donation and sustainable disposal) on all projects.
• Coordinate dismantling, transport, reconfiguration and delivery of furniture, equipment and workplace fittings.
• Carry out or oversee FF&E audits to support strategic workplace decision‑making.
• Work with the client teams to keep the internal documents and (Data) systems updated.
• Prepare quotations, scopes of work and contract variations for both smallworks and MAC assignments.
• Identify opportunities for additional scope and value‑added services, escalating commercial and margin decisions to the Senior Project Manager and/or Project Director.
• Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations; negotiate optimal value‑for‑money outcomes.
• Contribute to the MAC service line's business development agenda across the Netherlands.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, facilities managers, HR teams and local supply chain partners.
• Prepare clear project reports and progress updates for clients and internal leadership.
• Conduct project evaluations and produce lessons learned documentation and case studies upon completion.
• Actively promote MAC services to existing and prospective clients.

What You'll Bring:

• Proven experience in managing fit‑out, strip‑out, and small works projects.
• Solid knowledge of the Move (Porterage) and furniture supply chains.
• Strong understanding of Sustainability and the Circular Economy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis (Excel).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in implementing MAC Framework Agreements/Quotations/Variations, delivering services under contracts, preparing charges for contracts and understanding the risk implications of working contracts.
• Experience of reporting and analysing financial trends.
• (Desired): Experience with AutoCAD 2020 and above, space planning, and managing corporate moves.

Qualifications

• HBO or WO level degree in a relevant discipline, such as Project Management, Construction, Real Estate or Facility Management.
• Professional project management certifications (PRINCE2, PMI/PMP) are an advantage.
