Job summary

Van Vliet Demolition Group is seeking a Project Manager Europe to lead complex industrial demolition, dismantling and decommissioning projects across Europe. You will own the full lifecycle from tender support to final handover, coordinating clients, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and commercial success.

The role requires 8+ years of PM experience in European industrial projects, experience with EPC/demolition, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a comparable technical field; MSc preferred.
• 8+ years of project management experience on major European industrial projects.
• Experience in EPC, industrial demolition, dismantling or decommissioning.
• Experience in oil, gas, petrochemical or heavy industrial environments is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of contract and commercial management (FIDIC/LOGIC).
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation, communication and decision-making skills.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end responsibility for scope, schedule, safety, quality, costs and client satisfaction.
• Lead Site Supervisors, Project Engineers and multidisciplinary teams across European project locations.
• Develop and manage project schedules, resource plans, risk registers, method statements, risk assessments and technical documentation.
• Manage project budgets, cash flow, forecasts and P&L to protect project margins.
• Manage contracts, variations, scope clarifications, time impact analyses and commercial claims.
• Work with contract standards and agreements including FIDIC and LOGIC.
• Coordinate mobilization, equipment readiness and logistics with site teams.
• Lead client and progress meetings and maintain strong relationships.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support tenders and identify new commercial opportunities within the European industrial and petrochemical markets.

Project Manager Europe

Lead complex industrial demolition projects across Europe, from first plan to final handover.

Are you an experienced Project Manager who combines technical expertise with strong commercial judgement? At Van Vliet Demolition Group, you will take full ownership of complex industrial demolition, dismantling and decommissioning projects across Europe.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, work closely with clients and partners, and ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently and commercially successfully.

Location: Project locations across Europe

Department: Operations, Projects Europe

Reports to: Operations Director

Travel: Regular travel across Europe

The role

As Project Manager Europe, you are responsible for the complete project lifecycle, from tender support and preparation through execution, commercial control and final handover.

You are the central point of contact between clients, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders. You keep a close eye on safety, quality, planning, costs and commercial performance while making sure teams have what they need to deliver.

This is a hands on leadership role with significant ownership and responsibility.

What you will do

What you bring

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a comparable technical field. An MSc is an advantage
• At least 8+ years of project management experience, preferably within major European industrial projects
• Experience in EPC, industrial demolition, dismantling or decommissioning
• Experience within oil, gas, petrochemical or other heavy industrial environments is a strong advantage
• Strong knowledge of contract and commercial management, ideally including FIDIC, LOGIC or bespoke client agreements
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple stakeholders
• Strong negotiation, communication and decision making skills
• A structured, analytical and commercially minded approach
• Fluent English. Additional European languages are an advantage
• Willingness to travel regularly across Europe
