Overview

Manager Of Projects – Client Side – South Holland Region – Netherlands

G2 Recruitment is seeking a Manager of Projects to join their client, a chemical plant operator with sites across Europe, Asia and the Americas. The role supports both local and international projects from the operational and projects site in South Holland, Netherlands, near Rotterdam.

Start: September, October or November 2025.

Location: South Holland Region, Netherlands

Salary: €7,000 - €10,000 per month + competitive package (8% holiday allowance, bonus scheme, holidays, pension scheme, company car).

Responsibilities

• Management of technical projects, OPEX portfolio, 10-20 projects at any time
• Coordination between technical engineering, projects and the operational site team
• Resource management for projects, engineering and turnarounds
• Internal and external stakeholder management
• Managing the full project lifecycle, planning, cost and risk management
• Ensure the preparation of resource loads, risk assessments, project implementation and facility maintenance

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industrial experience, ideally within a process industry (chemical, energy, petrochemical)
• Experience working with end client plant operators
• Ability to manage people
• Experience planning meetings, scoping, budgeting, preparation and execution
• Ideally experience with OPEX projects, shutdowns or turnarounds (not essential)
• A technological background in petrochemical or chemical processing is preferred
• English and Dutch language proficiency (Dutch B2+)

Additional beneficial experience: experience with a process plant operator; chemical, petrochemical, energy or pharmaceutical sector experience would also be suitable.

The client is available to interview at short notice. You would be working directly with the Operations Manager.
