Job summary

Van der Hoeven is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead international horticultural projects from contract through to handover. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate stakeholders, and maintain control over scope, quality and timelines.

The role requires a solid HBO/WO degree, 5+ years in international project management, and fluency in Dutch and English. Travel readiness and a pragmatic, ownership-driven mindset are essential.

About The Job

Are you a results-driven Project Manager who thrives on international collaboration, complex challenges and connecting internal and external stakeholders? If so, this is a role where you can make a real impact.

As a Project Manager, you’ll take on a key role as soon as a project has been secured. You’ll be responsible for successfully managing our international horticultural projects, from contract monitoring and preparation through to implementation and final handover. The focus is on delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects, where you’ll maintain firm control. With your decisiveness, overview, ability to build relationships and organisational skills you will make all the difference.

Your Responsibilities Are

• Ensuring efficient project planning and monitoring it.
• Identifying and managing financial risks and reporting on financial progress.
• Acting as the main point of contact for the client.
• Managing expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitoring contractual agreements and communicating promptly on progress, changes and risks.
• Ensuring quality standards and procedures are met and promoting a safe working environment.
• Ensuring a successful handover to the client.
• Preparing progress reports and initiating improvement actions where necessary.

Your profile

• Higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) degree, for example in Industrial Engineering and Management.
• At least 5 years’ experience in international project management.
• An affinity for technology.
• Demonstrable experience with multidisciplinary (EPC) projects.
• Good command of Dutch and English.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Strong communication skills at various organisational levels.
• Results-oriented, pragmatic and decisive.
• Takes ownership.
