Job summary

Sumitomo SHI FW in Finland seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead projects from kickoff to close-out, ensuring safety, on-schedule delivery and budget adherence. You will head the project team, act as the main client contact, and coordinate with functions across the organization.

The role emphasizes HSSE leadership, risk and change management, and strong communication with customers, vendors and colleagues. Travel globally is expected, and you will report to the Vice President, TMU.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in a service or project environment.
• Proven track record delivering projects to budget, schedule and quality targets.
• Strong HSSE awareness and safety-first leadership is expected.
• Experience managing risks, changes and client negotiations.
• Fluent English; Finnish/Swedish are advantageous.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

• Lead the project team and manage projects from kickoff to close-out
• Responsible for project’s as-sold budget, schedule and customer satisfaction targets
• Act as the client's primary contact and develop the customer relationship
• Own HSSE performance and ensure quality and safety standards are met
• Manage risks, changes and the project execution
• Work with vendors, subcontractors and function heads
• Report on progress and elevate execution problems promptly

What We Are Looking For

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience, and 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in a service or project environment
• Proven record of delivering projects to budget, schedule, quality and safety targets
• Strong commitment to HSSE and a safety-first leadership style
• Experience managing risks, changes, budgets and schedules, and negotiating with clients
• Confident communicator who builds trust with customers, vendors, subcontractors and colleagues
• Ability to lead and motivate project teams
• Fluent English skills, Finnish and Swedish are an advantage
• Ability and willingness to travel globally
