Job summary

Osprey Group is seeking a Project Engineer to support technical and operational activities on major projects across the Netherlands. You will collaborate with the Project Manager and engineering team to ensure safe, efficient, and quality delivery from design through to execution.

The role emphasizes site visits, development of drawings, calculations and risk assessments, plus strong client-facing communication to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline required.
• Experience on large-scale construction projects preferred.
• Heavy lift transport, shipping or lifting market experience with targets delivered.
• Experience with cranes (mobile, tower, crawler) is advantageous.
• Client-facing engineering experience essential.
• Familiar with technical codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of technical and operational activities within a major project environment.
• Work with Project Manager and engineering team to ensure safe, efficient delivery and quality.
• Develop drawings, calculations, visualisations, manuals and risk assessments.
• Conduct site visits and provide conceptual lifting solutions.
• Act as the customer and site operation team contact point.
• Maintain high-quality documents and document control throughout the project lifecycle.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of technical and operational activities within our major project environment. This role works closely with the Project Manager and wider engineering team to ensure all project engineering takes, coordination efforts, and technical deliverables are executed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to expand their expertise in Project Engineering while contributing to high-value, complex project outcomes.

Location - Nationwide - Netherlands

Work Rotation - Monday-Friday

What You’ll do

• Use your expertise to devise smart engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transportation projects.
• Develop drawings, calculations, visualisations, manuals, risk assessments and other key documents.
• Ensure efficient execution that delivers the right results for the customer with particular focus on safety and quality.
• Conduct site visits providing conceptual solutions for lifting operations.
• Act as a point of contact for the customer and site operation team.
• Ensure high levels of document quality and document control throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering related discipline (Masters in the same field desirable)
• Experience working on large scale construction projects
• Relevant experience in heavy lift transport, shipping or lifting markets with evidence of delivering targets
• Experience with lifting operations using mobile cranes, tower cranes and crawler cranes
• Client facing experience as an Engineer
• Experience with technical codes and standards
• Experience with AutoCAD (Math CAD desirable) & Microsoft suite
• Quality and detail focused with the approach of ‘Right the first time’
