Job summary

Osprey Shipping Limited is seeking a results-driven Engineer to join our heavy lift and lifting operations team in the Netherlands. You will develop drawings, calculations, safety documentation and support the execution of large-scale transportation projects by land and water.

The ideal candidate holds a engineering degree (Bachelor's required, Masters desirable) with hands-on crane experience, client-facing skills and proficiency in AutoCAD/MathCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering related discipline is required.
• Experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience in heavy lift transport, shipping or lifting markets with evidence of delivering targets.
• Experience with lifting operations using mobile cranes, tower cranes and crawler cranes.
• Client-facing experience as an Engineer.
• Experience with technical codes and standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MathCAD and MS Office.
• Commitment to quality and detail with a Right the first time approach.

Responsibilities

• Devise smart engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transportation projects.
• Develop drawings, calculations, visualisations, manuals, risk assessments and other key documents.
• Ensure safe, high-quality execution delivering the right results for the customer.
• Conduct site visits providing conceptual solutions for lifting operations.
• Act as a point of contact for the customer and site operation team.
• Maintain high standards of document quality and document control throughout the project lifecycle.
