Job summary

WLG in the Netherlands is seeking a seasoned Programme Manager to oversee a portfolio of interdependent projects in a multinational defence context. This is a full-time role offering relocation to the United States with a NATO-5 visa for you and your family.

You will drive issue resolution, risk management, and quality reviews, ensuring plans stay honest and aligned with capability goals. This is a long engagement that renews year on year, not a short project.

Qualifications

• University degree in project or programme management or a closely related field.
• At least five years in project management of communications or information systems using MSP, PRINCE2 or PMI.
• At least three years managing risks and issues in a complex programme.
• At least three years applying change management in a capability programme.
• At least three years running quality reviews and audits.
• At least three years in deployable communications or signals as SME.
• At least three years in multinational alliance/military environments.
• Fluent professional English.

Responsibilities

• Handle issues and changes through established processes, delivering clear situational awareness.
• Capture and log every programme issue affecting the capability.
• Sequence activities and milestones, keeping the plan honest.
• Review staff reports and project specs for clarity and content.
• Run programme quality reviews and audits using qualitative and quantitative techniques.
• Capture operational lessons from exercises and live ops, turning them into capability gaps.
• Own the programme risk log: identify, estimate, evaluate and prepare responses.
• Reconcile reporting databases so project expenditure is accurately represented to stakeholders.
• Communicate timely, analysed information to the people it affects.
