Job summary

Wlgroup in the United States Norfolk, VA relocation opportunity, seeks an experienced Programme Manager to oversee a NATO-5 visa backed portfolio of interdependent projects. You will manage issues, risks and quality across the programme with formal governance and clear reporting.

The role requires five-plus years of PM experience in communications or information systems, strong English, and a track record with complex, multinational environments. This is a long-term engagement with renewal.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of programme management disciplines and governance.
• At least five years in project management of communications or information systems using a recognised method.
• At least three years managing risks and issues in a complex, interdependent programme.
• At least three years applying change management in a capability programme.
• At least three years running programme and project quality reviews and audits.
• At least three years in deployable communications or signals as SME.
• At least three years in an alliance or multinational military environment.
• Fluent professional English.

Responsibilities

• Handling issues and changes through established processes with clear situational awareness.
• Capturing and logging programme issues affecting capability.
• Sequencing activities and milestones, keeping the plan honest.
• Reviewing staff reports, management products and project specifications for clarity.
• Running programme and project quality reviews and audits using qualitative and quantitative techniques.
• Capturing operational lessons from exercises and live operations and turning them into capability gaps.
• Owning the programme risk log: identifying, estimating, evaluating and preparing responses.
• Reconciling reporting databases so project expenditure is accurately represented to stakeholders.
• Communicating timely, analysed and well-presented information to affected people.
