Job summary

Wlgroup is seeking a seasoned programme manager for a multinational defence portfolio, based in Norfolk, VA, with relocation and NATO-5 visa support. You will lead issue and change processes, manage risks, and ensure program quality across interdependent projects.

Required are a related university degree, 5+ years in PM of communications or information systems, and 3+ years in risk/change management within a multinational/military context, with fluent English.

Qualifications

• University degree in a related field (PM, engineering, CS, telecom).
• At least five years in project management of communications or information systems using MSP, PRINCE2 or PMI.
• At least three years managing risks and issues in a complex programme.
• At least three years applying change management in a capability programme.
• At least three years running programme and project quality reviews and audits.
• At least three years in deployable communications or signals as SME.
• At least three years in an alliance or multinational military environment.
• Fluent professional English.

Responsibilities

• Handle issues and changes through established processes and provide clear situational awareness on every one of them.
• Capture and log every programme issue affecting capability.
• Sequence activities and milestones, and keep the plan honest.
• Review staff reports, management products and project specifications for clarity and content.
• Run programme and project quality reviews and audits using qualitative and quantitative techniques.
• Capture operational lessons from exercises and live operations, and turn them into identified capability gaps.
• Own the programme risk log: identifying, estimating, evaluating and preparing responses.
• Reconcile the reporting databases so project expenditure is represented accurately to the stakeholder group.
• Communicate timely, analysed and well-presented information to the people it affects.
