Job summary

3ECRUIT is seeking a hands-on Production Team Lead in Utrecht to drive daily manufacturing operations on-site. You will mentor operators, coordinate workloads and ensure safety and quality on the factory floor.

Ideal candidates come from process or production engineering backgrounds and are ready to progress into leadership, with fluency in Dutch and English and a collaborative mindset.

We're looking for a motivated manufacturing professional to join our production team in Utrecht. This is a full-time, on-site position within a clean, modern manufacturing environment where quality, safety and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

Whether you're currently a Process Engineer, Production Engineer, Senior Production Operator, Shift Leader or an experienced manufacturing professional, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership skills while remaining close to day-to-day manufacturing operations.

Working alongside an experienced Production Manager, you'll help coordinate daily production activities, support a team of operators and ensure production runs safely, efficiently and in line with the production plan.

You'll receive the support and guidance needed to develop your leadership skills while playing a key role in the continued growth of the production department.

This is a hands-on position where you'll spend the majority of your time on the production floor, supporting colleagues, solving day-to-day manufacturing challenges and helping drive operational improvements.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to support and guide colleagues.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Fluent Dutch and English.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Experience within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, advanced manufacturing or another regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience mentoring, coaching or coordinating colleagues on the production floor.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement activities.
• Experience using ERP systems, production planning tools or manufacturing KPIs.
• Experience within batch or process manufacturing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical qualification or degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production operations.
• A genuine ambition to develop into a successful people leader within a manufacturing environment.
